retrospective at the SPAC, Buttrio (I)
In this series of foggy landscapes I used a large industrial airbrush to shoot big dots onto the canvas so that single drizzling drops create a more physical impression of wet frostiness. The drops are also sprayed in the complementary colours bright green/pink and yellow/violet to give a shimmering greyish sky as if the viewer had been wrapped in cotton and was unable to see landmarks or the horizon. On my hiking tours I was on the lookout for an unremarkable hilly landscape without any ‚dramatic‘ scenery.
